About Us
The Sydney University Movement and Dance Society (MADSOC) welcomes students and non-students alike of all styles and levels of dance to participate in our weekly classes, productions and social events. Our aim is to help our community explore their creativity and passion for dance through a friendly and supportive environment that fosters growth and enjoyment.
Weekly Classes
Our weekly on-campus classes are free of charge to members, featuring styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Latin, Ballroom, Tap, Hip-Hop and Zumba. Taught by students, our classes cater to all levels and run on a casual basis.
Major Productions
The Major Production is MADSOC's largest performance of each year. Held during second semester, over 160 dancers join in from all backgrounds of dance to put on a great show.
labryinth 2025
The labyrinth serves as a powerful analogy for life, emphasising that life is not a puzzle to be solved but rather a journey to be experienced.
The labyrinth teaches that growth comes not from avoiding these twists but from embracing them as opportunities for transformation and insight.
