Elemental x purgatory 2022

Due to COVID we were unable to present our 2021 major production Elemental. This year we have have decided to present MADSOC’s first ever double billed show combining last years Elemental with this years Purgatory.

Elemental:

Many ancient cultures independently proposed that the nature and complexity of all substances could be reduced to four simpler substances: earth, fire, water, and air. Elemental aims to expose the raw undefined edges of these foundation blocks. We envision a theatrical and comedic element weaving its way through the show to reveal the interactions, similarities, and disparities between these elements.

Purgatory:

Purgatory will present an epic battle between good and evil. Who will be judged as evil? How will we recognise good? This production will explore how these concepts, which seem black and white, can become blurred and indistinguishable from different perspectives
